I wonder how people handle taking their dogs out in weather that the dog says, No way, Bud. Do they force the issue? Do they stand outside in snow/rain/hail/heat and just wait until the dog finally does what a dog does? I’d like to know…because my puppies are little fussy things. They like perfect weather, like I do. Give me 75 degrees, sunny, clear, and slightly breezy.
It’s been incredibly hot all over the area. Contractors are sending people home so they are not roofing in this stuff. I was in Concord NH on Wednesday for a day long meeting. When we broke for lunch, we headed to the local Foodee’s for pizza. The sweat dripping off everyone’s face as we trekked down the hill was pretty gross. Thank goodness the restaurant had A/C!
School starts again in less than a month. I have started two professional blogs to be able to converse with parents and teachers as well as other professionals in my field. What an education I had this summer! Between the NECC convention in San Diego and the NELS workshop at UNH, I feel like I have a wonderful set of new tools to do my teaching. Now if I can just get the teachers out of the late 1990’s I will be all set!
