but right now i’d like a pit stop!
The life in my house has been mishigas (I think that means crazy in Yiddish)! Any where you look you may see one, two, or three puppies. My daughter, her husband, and my grandson have been living with us since last Wednesday while their new home is being renovated to the point at which they can move in. There were a few obstacles that needed to be overcome.
But oh, what a diamond in the rough this home is. In only three or four days, the weeds have been removed to see several nice bushes and a slate walkway in the front of the house. The inside has beautiful warm hardwood floors throughout, brick working fireplace, a newly renovated kitchen within the last few years, and the perfect New England dining room for Thanksgiving dinners. It is going to be a terrific home in a matter of days. I hope this little family, once their fish, cats, and dog are collected and all back under one roof will have many years of happiness!
So, yes, it’s been crazy. On top of all that, my sister and her family had what could have been a mini-tragedy due to a storm that went through her yard. We are counting our blessings that the damage was minor, despite some terrible scares.
Ah, and I had a birthday.
(lets go of balloons)
(hangs streamers)
(cut the chocolate cake)
The heat is unbelievable. It’s a hundred degrees everywhere you go. I cannot imagine how it would be with no A/C.
So, really, not much stuff going on that makes for good blog fodder. I mean, David Ortiz is kicking butt for the Red Sox, and that is awesome. But, outside of physical therapy and walking puppies, life is crazy yet strangely simple.
I’ll take it any day of the week!
Happy Birthday, Linda!
